The short version: Cruxa has no servers, collects nothing, and sends nothing to its developer. Your API key and settings stay in your browser. Page content is sent only to the AI provider you choose, with your own key.

1. What Cruxa is

Cruxa is a browser extension that produces structured summaries of financial documents (filings, research reports, prospectuses) using an AI model of your choice. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no Cruxa account, server, or backend.

2. Data stored on your device

• Your API key(s) and settings are stored only in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). They never leave your device except as the authentication header of requests you send to the AI provider you selected.

3. Data sent to third parties (the AI provider you choose)

• When you click "Summarize", the text of the current page (or your selection) plus the prompt are sent directly from your browser to the official API of the model provider you selected (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, Alibaba, Moonshot, Zhipu), authenticated with your own API key.
• That request does not pass through any server operated by Cruxa or its developer. Your use of the provider's API is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

4. Page access

Cruxa reads page content only when you actively trigger it (the "Grab page" button, the right-click menu item, or the keyboard shortcut). It does not run in the background, does not continuously monitor your browsing, and does not collect your browsing history. Broad page access is an optional permission requested only the first time you grab a page.

5. What Cruxa does NOT do

• No analytics, no tracking, no cookies, no advertising.
• No collection or transmission of your data to the developer.
• No selling or sharing of data with anyone.

6. Permissions, briefly

• storage — save your key and settings locally.
• activeTab, scripting — read the current page's text when you ask.
• sidePanel — show the Cruxa panel.
• contextMenus — the right-click "Summarize" item.
• Host access — to call the model provider's API, and to read page text on demand.

7. Children

Cruxa is a tool for investors and is not directed at children under 13.

8. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with a new date.
